Hey there Handy Survivalists! I’m back today with a new post that I believe we all can appreciate! We’re going to be covering 10 home remedies for toothaches. I personally like to avoid organized medicine and prefer to go the all natural way if possible.
These toothache remedies will also help you out in case you suddenly develop one while your dentists office is closed or you’re somewhere where you simply cannot get to a dentist for a checkup.
The following is a list of temporary natural toothache relief options, and you should always consult with a doctor just to be safe!
1.) Ginger root – simply pop a piece in your mouth and chew it briefly.
2.) Hydrogen Peroxide – Take a cap full and swoosh it around in your mouth. Sometimes people dislike the taste of this, but it’s been known to help toothaches.
3.) Baking Soda – take a small amount and mix with water. Apply this mixture to your sensitive tooth with a Q-tip or cotton swab.
4.) Cloves – take a small clove and place it against your aching tooth until it subsides.
5.) Ice Pack – this is the typical temporary way of healing just about anything from home. Take some ice, throw it in a ziplock baggy, wrap it in a towel and place it against your aching tooth.
6.) Garlic – mash up some garlic clove and place it around your tender tooth.
7.) Salt Water – mix up some salt water and swoosh it around in your mouth. This has reportedly worked well for toothache pain removal.
8.) Cucumbers – cut up a slice of cucumber and place it around your aching tooth.
9.) Tea Bag – take a tea bag and soak it in water, then take the bag and place it against your toothache. Make sure that the baggy is not ripped open.
10.) Toothpaste – put toothpaste on a Qtip and rub it on your painful tooth.
Some of these home remedies may seem a bit out there, however they are all viable options that we’ve found from research around on the internet. I’m quite sure you’ll have several of these items around your home… so next time you will be prepared!
